Bob Marley: In The Key Of Peace (New York Times 1978)

Today I share with you a great profile of Bob Marley and the Wailers by noted music journalist Robert Palmer.  This article, published in the New York Times on June 16, 1978, finds Bob Marley and the Wailers preparing to play Madison Square Garden.

I think it’s important to share these “vintage” profiles because, unlike a retrospective, they give us insight to what the environment was like at that time in 1978.  They also provide proof as to how Marley was treated by the international press as he climbed the ladder to international superstardom.
