Roger Steffens’ Interview w/ Cindy Breakspeare, November 27, 1993

For those who do not know who Roger Steffens is, he’s partially responsible for reggae’s popularity in North America.  A DJ, collector, archivist, journalist, lecturer, and actor, his life has been literally consumed with reggae and Jah culture for the past 35 years.

One of the most significant contributions he made was cofounding “Reggae Beat” magazine with Ms. CC Smith. The magazine was a primary resource for reggae news, interviews, and information for nearly 30 years.  Popularly known as “The Beat,” the magazine shut its presses in 2010.

Here is an INTERVIEW that Roger conducted with Ms. Cindy Breakspeare, Bob’s girlfriend and mother to his son Damian, in 1993.
