Midnight Dread

I am pleased to announce that the Midnight Raver Blog has teamed with DJ and noted reggae historian and archivist Doug Wendt AKA “Midnight Dread” to share select items from his vast archive which actually predate the Rastafari and reggae movement of the 1970’s.  These items include rare and unreleased interviews, Midnight Dread radio shows, rare music, Marley/Tosh/Wailers music and media, and much more!

Please visit Midnight Dread’s website at www.midnightdread.com.  Also visit his exclusive online store to browse and purchase one-of-a-kind pieces of reggae history.

Here is an example of something you will find in Doug’s archives:

“Midnight Dread’s Bob Marley Show produced in honor of his 2012 birthday celebration.   This hour long special features several rare dub mixes as well as Marley’s single most stunning live performance ever.  Also included: Hailie Selassie’s “War” speech as he originally delivered it in Amharic followed by Bob’s alternate version of “War” with all the complete lyrics taken from Selassie’s speech. Yes I!”
