Of the three mighty Wailers, I’ve always thought that Bunny had the best voice. While Bob is known as being one of the greatest performers who ever lived, Bunny is a very adept and charismatic performer in his own right, as you can see in the video here. The performance is from 1988, Port Charles, Jamaica. The song? His heaviest, and one of the heaviest songs in all of reggae, “Rise and Shine”.
“Jammins” is the best tune on the first Bunny album I ever owned, the dancehall album titled Rootsman Skanking. This album is underrated in my opinion, as I consider it to be one of his best.
