Peter Tosh: Philadelphia Inquirer, March 7, 1979

This excellent sounding audio has circulated since 2007 without a proper date and venue . It was originally seeded to Reggae Traders by my friend chico. At the time, the venue and exact date were unknown, however, I recently obtained a review of the show from the Philadelphia Inquirer, which indicates that the venue is the Walnut Street Theatre and the date is March 6, 1979. The audio is taken directly from a radio broadcast of the concert. It is incomplete, containing only 8 tracks. Enjoy!

A Midnight Raver exclusive….

Received this CD-R from the one and only DAK. It’s not the full concert, but as complete as you will find. Seen it with diff. order of tracks, so don’t know about that. Anyways, good concert and decent sound.

    Enjoy!

How can I get this show. I was there, followed the band back to their hotel. Amazing ripping Rock Steady. Sly and Robbie at their best. Peter was simply electric. (Well, so was I!)
