It is the summer of 1975 when America gets it’s first look at the new hero of reggae.  Bob Marley and the Wailers perform for the very first time on American television on Manhattan Transfer, an upstart variety show.  Filmed in Los Angeles while Marley is there to play a run at The Roxy, the show is televised across America – giving suburbanites everywhere a bit of that “Kinky Reggae” vibe.
