The Specials & Rock Against Racism inna Midnight Dread #9

First broadcast live 33 years today with lots of radio mixes & rare reggae plus mentions of The Specials concert that same night in nearby San Francisco as well as the development of a local Rock Against Racism outlet, this early edition of Midnight Dread is proof positive the One Love influences were spreading like wildfire in February 1980. Two weeks before The Clash & Mikey Dread first mashed up SF’s Warfield & altered this burgeoning radio program for the better forever, Midnight Dread Number Nine unleashes a unique Ras Michael Greetings ID, some KTIM FM San Rafael California sweepstakes weirdness, a delightful dada announcement et al amongst the usual tons of riveting reggae riddims galore.
