Lee “Scratch” Perry studio tape

Included here with this post are several peculiar things.

First up a Jah Raver EXCLUSIVE! As we celebrate Lee “Scratch” Perry’s 80th birthday this month, today we share an unreleased studio rehearsal tape. Simply titled “Scratch Rehearsal,” the tape was given to me to digitally transfer by the individual who obtained it.

Don’t forget to pick up “Black Ark Vampires,” Scratch’s new work with NYC’s Subatomic Sound System, out now on ReggaeRecordDL, Juno, iTunes, Beatport, Spotify and more!

Every Christmas Lee “Scratch” Perry would take out an ad in the Jamaica Gleaner praising His Royal Majesty Haile Selassie I, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, the Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

  1. Excellent, great stuff as always Raver 🙂

    Hiya Raver,

Just wondering if you could recommend some Lee Perry albums that are not simply dub. I loved his recent album “Back at the Controls” and am looking for the titles to a few other albums that put him on vocals. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
