Raver Reviews: Better Days Riddim (Oneness Records) best so far in 2017!

Let there be no question as to who dropped the first great reggae album of 2017.  Oneness Records answered that question today with the release of the Better Days Riddim.  The riddim showcase features strong vocal performances from the likes of Iba Mahr / Treesha / Skarra Mucci / Jahcoustix / Dub Inc / Pressure / Chezidek / Naptali.  This riddim compilation is the first “must-have” reggae album to be dropped so far this year.

The young revival rebel soldier Iba Mahr shines brightest in this set with an inspiring performance of “Get Up and Show.”  Born Mario Greaves, his given stage name “Iba” is an African name meaning humble and calm while ‘MaHr’ is really an acronym, meaning Mario of Harar.

At age 19, he voiced his first song with CHARMAX MUSIC, chanting from Linstead, St. Catherine. Subsequently, he was able to sustain the many dangers and harm of his volatile community through the advocating of love, peace, righteousness and spiritual consciousness.

He is quite humble, and does not let anything or no one trouble his innate calm. His music ranges from reggae, lovers rock and soulful roots genre. The young sound has worked with great producers and record labels such as Max ‘Romeo’ Smith, Philip ‘Fatis’ Burrell, and a host of other producers.
